Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze met with Li Qiang, Premier of the People’s Republic of China. Sides discussed political and economic cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister also participated in the opening ceremony of the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

EU Enlargement Report: Georgian government’s actions have halted the country’s EU accession process.

The European Council stated in December 2023 that it would grant EU candidate status to Georgia if the nine key reforms outlined in the Commission’s recommendations are implemented. In the recent report, it was determined that the actions by the government undermine the process. The latest decisions in Georgia are characterized as isolation from the integration process.
