Official visit of Ilham Aliyev to Slovakia
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made an official visit to the Slovak Republic. During the visit, he met with the President of Slovakia, they delivered press statements and then met with the Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia and the Prime Minister of Slovakia.

Prime Minister: Azerbaijan commends Turkmenistan's policy of UN-recognized permanent neutrality.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov participated in the international forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust (2025), the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, which commenced in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. In his speech, he highlighted support of Azerbaijan on neutrality resolutions, described the two countries as active members of NAM, and emphasized the relations between the two countries.

Georgia proposes new greenhouse gas emissions regulations aligned with EU standards.
Amendments to the Law on Environmental Protection, which introduced new regulations on greenhouse gas emissions, are proposed. They are related to the obligations of Georgia under the EU Association Agreement and the Energy Community Treaty and are aligned with the principles of the European Union Emissions Trading System (ETS).

He met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; the sides discussed the relations between countries.

President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili held an expanded meeting with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, addressed the people. In his address, he speaks about the fifth anniversary of the glorious victory, works on the peace treaty, membership to the new platform, organization, hosting summits, economic development, and state programs on the returning of people to liberated areas. At the end of the address, the president congratulated the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and wished them a Happy New Year.
