As part of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The Inter-Parliamentary Forum was held in the town of Awaza in Turkmenistan. After the opening ceremony, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, chaired the first session, speaking about the importance of the role of parliaments in the implementation of activities of the landlocked developing countries. The speaker touched on the necessity of cooperation at the interparliamentary level. The topics of green energy development, digital infrastructure, and the role of Azerbaijan in these issues were remarked upon by the speaker.

On the sidelines of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs) in Turkmenistan, the meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow led to a new chapter in the relations between the two countries. The sides exchange views on the importance of maintaining regional peace and stability and expanding a secure and cooperative environment in the regions of the Caspian and South Caucasus. In his meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Kobakhidze spoke about increasing regional cooperation in the various sectors, such as infrastructure development.

The Joint Declaration was signed by Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; Donald Trump, President of the United States of America; and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The declaration covered issues such as the opening of communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the connection between the main part of Azerbaijan and its Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and other issues.
