US, Ukraine sign landmark resource-sharing deal to support defense and reconstruction.
The agreement on the mineral and energy resources was signed between the US and Ukraine. The agreement contained the articles on the access to the minerals by the US based on a 50:50 partnership on the sidelines of the full ownership remaining to Ukraine, the establishment of the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, and joint projects in the extraction of minerals, gas, and oil. Additional aid as air defense systems from the USA to Ukraine was also included in the arrangement.

US senators back “bone-crushing” sanctions on Russia, 500% tariffs for its allies.
The bill, which is also known as the Sanctioning Russia Act of 2025, covered new penalties for Russia and nations that purchase Russian products such as oil, gas, or uranium, such as China, Iran, and India. While Senator Graham characterized this bill as “bone-breaking,” which has the potential to devastate the Russian economy, the bill already got the 60-vote threshold in the Senate.

Azerbaijani delegation visits Syria.
The Azerbaijan delegation visited the Syrian Arab Republic for support for reconstruction and development in Syria and to explore areas for cooperation with the transitional government in the fields of economy, energy, culture, and education in the republic. The delegation from Azerbaijan, which was led by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, delivered a letter from President Ilham Aliyev to the interim president of Syria, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, during the meeting. NATO explains the omission of Georgia and Ukraine membership in the Annual Report.
In the annual report of NATO for 2024, focus on the core issues of alliances and this direction chosen by the Secretary General. In his open letter, PM touched on some issues that his letter concerned US-Georgia relations but did not receive any response letter or public statements. President of Uzbekistan ratifies treaty on allied relations with Azerbaijan.
The law on the ratification of the Treaty on Allied Relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was signed on August 23, 2024, in Tashkent with the participation of the presidents of both countries, was signed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. While the agreement opens a new chapter on the bilateral relations, aiming to further strengthen sustainable economic growth, territorial integrity, and independence of the two countries.
