One student from each of the eight countries — consisting of the five full members and three observer members of the Organization of Turkic States — will be selected to pursue graduate studies at Ibn Haldun University. The selection will be made by a committee formed by our university, the Organization of Turkic States, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Istanbul.

Haydar Aliyev Turkic World Scholarship – Supporting Future Leaders

What is it?

Announced at the “Commemoration Meeting for Haydar Aliyev” held in Istanbul on December 12, 2023, this scholarship offers graduate education opportunities to 8 advanced-level students from full and observer member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

Our Goal

To nurture leading scholars and respectful intellectuals of the Turkic World, building on our shared civilization and cultural heritage.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates must:

  • Be from full or observer member states of the OTS,

  • Possess high academic motivation,

  • Meet the English language preparation requirements,

  • Fulfill the general graduate admission criteria of our university.

What is Offered?

  • Tuition-Free Education: No tuition fees will be charged by our university.

  • Accommodation Support: Students will benefit from dormitory facilities.

  • Scholarships:

    • Excellence Scholarship for Doctoral Studies (UBB)

    • Merit Scholarship for Master’s Studies (BAB1)

Timeline

  • Applications: To be received between April and August, in line with graduate program admissions.

  • Start of Education: Selected candidates will begin their graduate studies at Ibn Haldun University in the 2025–2026 academic year.

Education and Duties

Selected students will actively work within the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies during their education, gaining both academic and practical experience.
