From Linguistic Unity to Strategic Cooperation: The Organization of Turkic States
Ibn Haldun University hosted a conference titled “From Linguistic Unity to Strategic Cooperation: The Organization of Turkic States,” focusing on the institutional and strategic dimensions of solidarity among the Turkic world. The event took place on October 27, 2025, at the Teoman Duralı Conference Hall of the Media and Event Center.

Towards a Common Future in the Turkic World

The keynote speaker of the event was Mr. Osman Mesten, Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (Bursa), Chairman of the Legal Affairs and International Relations Commission of the Turkic States Parliamentary Assembly, and President of the Türkiye–Uzbekistan Friendship Group.

In his speech, Mr. Mesten emphasized the historical background, institutional framework, and contemporary role of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

He highlighted the importance of linguistic unity as a tool of cultural diplomacy and discussed the growing strategic, political, and economic cooperation among Turkic nations.

Mesten also underlined the significance of strengthening a shared vision for the Turkic world within the global system.

Academic Engagement and Symbolic Presentation

The conference was organized jointly by the Ibn Haldun University Political Science Club and the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies (HACE).

At the conclusion of the program, Kemal Sarı, Deputy Secretary General of Ibn Haldun University, presented Circle of Justice of Ibn Haldunn to Mr. Osman Mesten as a token of appreciation.

The event fostered an engaging discussion on the future of cooperation among Turkic states and the strengthening of institutional solidarity across the Turkic world.
