The Political Academy was designed as a comprehensive educational program aimed at increasing political awareness among university students between the ages of 20 and 30. The program sought to cultivate young individuals with strong communication skills who can accurately interpret developments in both global and Turkish politics.
Throughout the five-day program, expert instructors delivered lectures on Turkish politics and foreign policy, world politics and Turkey’s regional relations, communication skills and public speaking, emotional resilience and personal development, as well as participatory democracy.
The Political Academy brought together students from 11 different universities and 20 academic departments, creating a rich environment for multidisciplinary discussions on national and international political issues.
In addition to classroom sessions, the program included a cultural visit to Yıldız Palace, providing participants with insights into state tradition and historical awareness. A ceramics workshop held at the City Art and Culture Center also offered students an opportunity for creative engagement.
At the closing ceremony, Mayor Yasin Kartoğlu emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics, noting that today’s well-educated young generation will play a crucial role in shaping the future leadership of society.
