$1 billion has been allocated for the Mahalla Loyihasi program
On December 16, 2024, during a video conference, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on initiatives to enhance employment and increase incomes in mahallas with the involvement of banks. As part of these efforts, a target of employing 5.2 million people in 2025 was set, with over 3 million to be supported through bank assistance. To ensure the success of this initiative, khokims of 208 districts and cities, alongside bank leaders, signed agreements that clearly define their roles and responsibilities. Under the Mahalla Loyihasi program, $1 billion in credit resources were allocated to banks and regions, with district bank heads receiving monthly targets for project development and loan issuance. By February 1, 2025, district bank branches will establish special departments dedicated to working with mahallas, appointing "mahallan bankers" and selecting local agents to support residents. Banks, in collaboration with regional authorities, will present business projects to the public and provide guidance on implementation. Information systems such as "online-mahalla.uz", "bank-kredit.uz", and "soliq.uz" will be integrated for efficient monitoring, and officials' performance will be analyzed daily, with corrective measures taken as necessary. The year 2025 is considered pivotal in fighting poverty and boosting employment, and efforts will focus on enhanced coordination between local authorities and economic structures.

Turkmenistan has approved the National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking for 2025-2029, following a decree by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Recognizing human trafficking as a critical global issue, Turkmenistan aims to strengthen its contribution to international efforts in protecting human rights. Developed in collaboration with the IOM and UNODC, the plan emphasizes prevention, comprehensive guidelines, and international cooperation. The country has already established a strong legislative framework, including the Law "On Combating Human Trafficking," and has previously implemented national action plans. The new plan outlines specific measures, timelines, and responsible agencies, while also prioritizing partnerships with international organizations and foreign nations to enhance anti-trafficking efforts.

The Head of State thanked the President of the United Arab Emirates for the warm welcome and hospitality, and wished success to the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly recalled the meetings with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 2023, which gave a powerful impetus to cooperation and opened up new areas of interaction. According to him, today the UAE is one of the ten largest foreign investors in Kazakhstan. Amendments have been made to the Law "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of migration"
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of migration, signed on April 24, 2024 in Baku." The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on December 11, 2024. The law was adopted in order for the Kyrgyz Republic to implement internal procedures for the entry into force of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the field of migration, signed on April 24, 2024 in Baku. This Agreement provides for cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of migration, ensuring the protection of the rights of citizens of the state of one party located on the territory of the other state, as well as the mutual exchange of information and experience in accordance with national legislation and international obligations of these states.

Minister Meredov conveyed greetings from Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The discussion focused on further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, highlighting the dynamic growth of trade, which surpassed $1.1 billion in 2024.
