Overview
Recent developments and conflicts in international relations have disrupted the traditional political and economic framework. This uncertainty motivates nations to collaborate through regional intergovernmental organizations based on shared identity and collective security. Today’s international system underscores the need for effective, cooperative strategies that address diverse global community needs. Regional players can nurture initiatives fostering peace. The Turkic World, comprising various Turkic nations, presents a promising platform for promoting global harmony.
The Turkic World is a dynamic region with rich cultural, political, and economic histories. An interdisciplinary approach is beneficial for understanding its essence, exemplified by the Turkic World Summer School, which enhances understanding through various academic perspectives.
Since its inception in 2009, the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) has embraced the language and culture uniting Turkic nations, laying a strong foundation for cooperation among member states. This collaboration has led to the establishment of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in November 2021.
Ibn Haldun University promotes the unity of Turkic states and peoples. As part of a university initiative, we, along with our partners, launched the inaugural Turkic World Summer School in 2024. This year, we invite colleagues and young advocates of the Turkic World to participate in its second year, aiming to foster peace and prosperity for Turkic peoples through this educational project.
